08/23/2010, Calgary, AB- Cobalt Coal Corp (“Cobalt” or the “Corporation”) announces that it has received a notice of Intention to Enforce Security from its secured lender, Echo Merchant Fund II Limited Partnership. (the "Lender"). The Lender has deemed Cobalt to be in default of Cobalt’s loan agreement with the Lender dated March 29, 2010 (the "Loan Agreement").
